How this website handles your data.
This policy covers the public Respiro website only — the pages you read and the contact form. The Respiro app, connected inhalers and any health data are covered by the app's own privacy materials, and are not part of this website.

Who we are
Amiko Srl, Via Ruggiero Settimo 4, 20146 Milan, Italy (VAT/P.IVA IT08963920965), is the controller of the personal data described in this policy — the organisation responsible for it. Privacy questions and requests: privacy@amiko.io. Our lead supervisory authority in the EU is the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Amiko handles personal data collected through the public Respiro website at respiro.io: the pages you read, the contact form, and the standard technical data our hosting and analytics receive. It does not cover the Respiro app, connected inhalers, patient accounts or any health data. Those are covered by the app's own privacy materials, and are not part of this website.
What we collect
- Contact enquiries. When you use the contact form or email us, we collect what you choose to provide — typically your organisation, work email, the topic of your enquiry and your message — together with our reply.
- Technical & server data. Like any website, our hosting receives ordinary information needed to serve, secure and debug the site, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request.
- Aggregate analytics. We use Umami (Umami Cloud, hosted in the EU), a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool, to understand aggregate use of the site (for example which pages are visited). It sets no cookies, collects no personal data and does not track you across other websites — see Cookies & analytics below.
The website sets no cookies, runs no advertising or behavioural tracking, and serves its fonts from our own servers, so no third-party font provider receives your details.
How we use it & legal bases
- To respond to you and handle business contact that begins on the website. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before any contract.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the website (server logs). Basis: our legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure site, and our legal obligations.
- To understand aggregate, anonymous use of the site so we can improve it (Umami). Basis: our legitimate interest; the analytics are cookieless and do not identify you.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and the website does not make automated decisions about you.
Service providers
We share personal data only with a small number of providers who process it on our instructions under contract, and where the law requires it. For the website these are:
- Amazon Web Services — cloud hosting and delivery of the site.
- Google Workspace — our business email and contact tooling (provided by Google), used to receive and reply to your enquiry.
- Umami Cloud — privacy-focused, cookieless website analytics, hosted in the EU.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
International transfers
We aim to keep personal data from the website within the EU/EEA: our hosting runs on EU infrastructure and our analytics use Umami Cloud's EU region. Where a provider above — for example Google Workspace — processes limited data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards: the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
We keep contact enquiries only as long as we need them to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, and then delete them. Server logs are kept for a short operational period for security and troubleshooting. Analytics data is aggregate and is not linked to you.
Your rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and receive a portable copy; where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, contact privacy@amiko.io. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) from reputable cloud infrastructure, with access controls appropriate to a public information site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data the website handles.
Children
The Respiro website is a public information and contact site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them through it.
Cookies & analytics
This website sets no cookies. It uses no browser or session storage and runs no advertising or tracking pixels, so it stores nothing on your device to follow you. The web fonts are served from Amiko's own servers, so no font provider receives your IP address.
For analytics we use Umami (Umami Cloud, hosted in the EU), a privacy-focused tool that measures aggregate traffic — which pages are visited and roughly where visitors arrive from. Umami is cookieless: it sets no identifiers, collects no personal data and does not track you across other sites. We do not use Google Analytics, Tag Manager, a Meta pixel or any other cross-site tracking. Because nothing is stored on your device and the metrics are anonymised, the site does not need a cookie-consent banner.
Since the site sets no cookies, there is nothing to opt out of here; you can still manage cookies generally through your browser settings. If we ever add a technology that stores information on your device or otherwise requires consent, we will update this policy and provide the appropriate controls first.
Changes
We may update this policy if the website changes how it handles data. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated.
