Asthma & COPD support

Breathe easier, day by day.

Respiro is an asthma and COPD inhaler tracker that keeps medication use, symptoms, mood and possible triggers in one calm place — so patterns are easier to notice, and easier to discuss when something starts to shift.

Respiro is currently available by invitation through selected programmes, clinicians and early-access partners.

The problem

Most medication apps still treat breathing like a checkbox.

Reminders help, but asthma and COPD are not just about ticking off a dose. Reliever use, symptoms, technique and the day around you all tell part of the story.

Reliever use is a useful clue

Reaching for it more often

When you reach for your reliever more often than usual, it can be a sign worth noticing. Respiro helps bring that trend into view.

Technique is invisible

How you inhale matters

When a compatible sensor is connected, Respiro can add simple technique-quality labels to inhaler events, so each recorded use has more context.

Context gets lost

The world affects your breathing

Air quality, pollen and weather can all affect how a day feels. Respiro puts local conditions next to your own notes and reliever use.

Why it matters

The everyday gap Respiro is built around.

Across asthma and COPD, many of the hardest moments happen between appointments: remembering treatment, noticing changes, and explaining what happened later.

What Respiro does

A clearer picture of your breathing, day to day.

Four simple ways to turn scattered inhaler use, symptoms and context into something you can read yourself and bring to your next appointment.

Logging that gets out of your way

Record a dose in a single tap — or add a compatible Respiro sensor so inhaler use can be captured automatically, with simple Good, Fair or Poor technique-quality labels when sensor data is available.

One-tap logging · automatic with a sensor

A heads-up for your day

Respiro brings recent symptom and mood notes together with reliever use, local air quality, pollen and weather, helping you notice when conditions around you may make breathing harder.

Right-now outlook · next-few-hours trend

Symptoms and mood in seconds

One tap for how you're feeling, plus a quick note on symptoms or possible triggers. Over time, those small moments become a clearer story of your good days and harder ones.

Mood · symptoms · triggers

Insights you can share

Respiro helps surface patterns over time — and turns your history into a clean, one-tap summary you can bring to your next appointment.

How it works

Set it up once. Then let it fit your routine.

1

Add your inhalers

Add the inhalers you actually use. Respiro helps organise daily preventers, relievers and, where relevant, all-in-one inhalers so reminders fit your routine.

2

Track in the way that suits you

Tap to record a dose in seconds, or pair a compatible sensor for hands-free logging. Add how you're feeling when something changes — that's the whole habit.

3

See the pattern

Trends, possible triggers, sensor-based technique labels and forecasts — explained in plain language and ready to share with the people who help you stay well.

Use it your way

Pair a connected sensor, or keep things simple with manual logging.

Works with many inhalers

No single-brand lock-in: Respiro is designed around everyday inhaler use.

Built around trusted care

Guidance is shaped for asthma and COPD support, in plain language.

The forecast

A heads-up when conditions may make breathing harder.

This is the part a simple medication reminder cannot do. Respiro looks at your recent patterns beside the world around you, so possible trigger days are easier to understand — and it tells you why.

Insights

Small patterns, easier to see.

Weeks of doses, symptoms and context become a handful of plain-language observations — the kind of pattern that is easy to miss day by day.

Apr 28 For you

Your reliever use changed before symptoms did

Extra reliever use showed up two days before your symptom and mood notes shifted from good to fair. A useful pattern to bring to your next appointment.

Respiro looks for changes in timing and frequency, not just totals.

Apr 27 For you

Your steadier weeks have something in common

A missed dose and a symptom note stand out more clearly when they sit beside the days that stayed on track.

A positive pattern can be just as useful as a warning sign.

Apr 25 With sensor

Evening inhalations look harder

With a sensor connected, more evening doses were labelled Fair or Poor than morning doses. A small routine pattern to check, not a judgement.

Morning 82% Good
Evening 54% Good

Technique labels appear only when a compatible Respiro sensor is used.

Built for modern treatment

Respiratory care has changed. Your app should keep up.

Treatment is not always a simple daily inhaler plus a separate reliever. Some people use combination maintenance inhalers, and some asthma plans use one ICS-formoterol inhaler for both daily control and symptom relief.

Respiro keeps those roles clear in your history. Daily treatment, relief use and, when a sensor is connected, inhalation-quality labels can be reviewed together without turning everything into one generic log.

For clinicians

A clearer picture, before and between visits.

Respiro helps people turn everyday inhaler use, symptoms, possible triggers and reliever patterns into a structured report they can bring to appointments.

For invited clinical programmes, patients can also connect their account with a care team, so the same picture can be followed remotely between visits, always with the patient's consent.

What it adds up to

A clearer routine, backed by real studies.

When doses, symptoms and technique are easier to see, conversations get clearer. In specific clinical studies and real-world care programmes, participant groups using Respiro showed improvements in asthma-control scores, inhaler technique and dose-taking consistency.

+5.9
asthma-control score change

In a clinical study, the participant group using Respiro improved on a standard asthma-control score.

73%
technique improvement observed

In an asthma and COPD service evaluation, nearly three in four participants improved how they inhaled their medicine.

82%
doses kept on track

In one Respiro study, most planned inhalations were recorded on schedule.

In their words

Real stories, in their words.

People using Respiro describe what changes when inhaler use, symptoms and breathing patterns are easier to see.

I can have a few worse days and only understand the pattern later. Having the app pull how I felt, reliever use and breathing notes into one report gives me something concrete to bring to the clinic.

Alessandro

My asthma is worse when pollen and air quality shift, but I used to notice it only after the fact. Seeing those days next to reliever use makes the pattern much harder to miss.

Chiara

As a parent, I don't want every dose to become a negotiation. Seeing whether the inhaler was used — and, when a sensor is connected, whether technique looked off — gives me a calmer way to help.

Questions

Everything you might be wondering.

The honest answers — about devices, prescriptions, your data, and what Respiro is (and isn't).

What is Respiro, and what is it not?

Respiro is an asthma and COPD inhaler tracker app that helps you track inhaler use, symptoms, mood, possible triggers, environmental factors and trends over time. Used on its own, it is for tracking, awareness and self-management support. When used with a compatible Respiro sensor, it forms part of a CE-marked Class I medical device system. It does not diagnose, prescribe, make treatment decisions, or replace your prescribed treatment plan or healthcare professional.

Can I use Respiro today?

Respiro is currently available by invitation. If you have been invited by a programme, clinician or the Respiro team, you can download the app and follow the instructions you received. If not, you can request access and we will follow up when availability opens for your area or programme.

Do I need a sensor or a prescription?

No to both. You can use Respiro with just your phone by logging doses, symptoms and how you're feeling manually. A compatible Respiro Sensor is optional: when linked to an inhaler, it can automatically detect inhaler use and sync the data to the app. During early access, you will also need an invitation, a Respiro account, a compatible iOS or Android phone, and an internet connection.

Which inhalers does it work with?

There is no single-brand lock-in. You can add medications from the Respiro database or enter them manually, then set schedules and reminders around how you actually use them. For automatic logging, the app shows whether a compatible Respiro Sensor is available for that medication and inhaler type; compatibility is kept updated in the app and on respiro.io.

Does it work for COPD, or just asthma?

Both. Respiro is built specifically for asthma and COPD, so it can handle daily maintenance treatment, reliever use, combination inhalers and, where prescribed, asthma plans that use one inhaler for both control and symptom relief.

What do adherence and technique labels mean?

Adherence compares recorded doses with the schedule you set for your medication. If a medication is tracked with a compatible Respiro Sensor, the app can also show educational inhalation-quality labels, such as Good, Fair or Poor, based on sensor data. These labels are for awareness only and should not be used to make medical decisions.

What does the forecast mean?

The forecast is a general awareness signal based on available information such as environmental conditions, your past symptom patterns and reliever use. It can help you notice when conditions may make breathing harder, but it does not diagnose, treat, or tell you to change medication or activities. Always use common sense and follow your clinician's advice.

Can I share information with my clinician?

Yes. Respiro is designed to help you bring a clearer picture to appointments: medication intake, reliever use, symptoms, mood, trends and, when available, sensor-based technique information. The Data section can generate a 90-day report you may choose to share. If your clinic or care programme supports Respiro, you can also connect your account from the app, so your care team can follow the same information directly. Connections are always managed by you.

Why did my sensor not sync?

Sync issues are usually practical: Bluetooth may be off, the phone may be too far from the sensor, or the app may not be allowed to sync in the background. On iPhone, Respiro needs to be open or running in the background and will not sync if force-closed. On Android, check battery and background activity settings. You can also tap the sync icon in the app to start a manual sync.

What happens to my data?

Your health history is handled according to Respiro's privacy materials and sharing settings. Settings let you manage account details, notifications, connected devices and data sharing. Your information is shared with healthcare providers only through connections you manage. You can request account deletion at any time from the app's settings, and Respiro support is there if you need help.

How much does it cost?

The Respiro app is free during early access and works fully with just your phone once your account is invited. If you are interested in an optional Respiro sensor, you can reach out to support@respiro.io or use the contact form.
